We’ve long been big cheerleaders for our community here in Queens – we believe this is the best place to live and work in New York. We’ve shown that love in many ways: through projects we’ve done both for clients and ourselves (including Queens iMessage stickers), through participating in organizations and government initiatives aiming to foster the tech community in Queens, and as individual community leaders involved with the Long Island City Partnership, Queens Economic Development Corporation, and other great institutions.
We wouldn’t be here though without the Queens Tech Meetup. It was at their first-ever meetup here in LIC in 2012 that we decided to move our office to this area and we’ve never looked back. While we’re a digital agency, we believe there’s nothing like building community face-to-face, and these events were incredible opportunities to build relationships and grow the industry.
Things have changed a lot since then, but we’ve long been itching to get back to our roots of community building in our neighborhood. To that end, we’ve partnered with some of our great friends at Kaufman Astoria Studios, the LIC Partnership, and Plaxall to introduce Queens Tech Night. This free event will be held at the beautiful Plaxall Gallery in LIC on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at 6:30PM. You’re invited.
We’ll be joined by long-time friend and Queens success story Elias Roman, currently of Google and previously CEO of Songza, for an insightful keynote. Several other organizations will be participating as well with information and resources for attendees, but the main attraction here is the networking and mingling of our guests. Great things happen when people get together, and we’re excited to help plant that seed.
If you can, please join us. Grab your free ticket here before they run out, and see you on the 21st!
